The Insperity Championship

The Insperity Championship is a three-time winner of the prestigious Players Award, voted by the tour players as the Champions TOUR event of the year. This tournament has "the best of everything" for players, sponsors and spectators. The event has donated over $500,000 to various charities and it is the about as fan-friendly as it gets; admission and parking for spectators are free. This event also has history; the Woodlands Country Club - Tournament Course was home to the PGA Tour's Houston Open from 1975 - 2002.

The Insperity Championship can also boast one thing that no other event can enjoy - The Greats of Golf event. On this special day in 2012, the Big Four, including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino all assembled together in a scramble exhibition along with others like Dave Stockton, Gene Littler and Bruce Crampton. It was in this exhibition that Arnold Palmer sank a curling 25-foot birdie putt on the final hole to win the event and send the more than 40,000 fans around the 18th green into a thunderous ovation. "We didn't make it too serious," Arnold Palmer said, "but we didn't want to come in second, either."
