Acquired by Sequoia in 2007, the upscale Woodlands Country Club is a world-class private club facility that provides its members with elite access to three championship golf courses (designed by Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and Robert von Hagge), two magnificent full service clubhouses, a 30,000 sq. ft. tennis pavilion with 17 outdoor courts and 4 indoor courts, three full driving ranges with expansive practice facilities, player development programs, swimming pools, multiple restaurants, casual snack bars, meeting and banquet space, locker rooms with spa, athletic facilities with exercise classes and state of the art equipment, and much more. Palmer Course

Arnold Palmer’s expertise extends well beyond his Hall of Fame golf career. In fact, his portfolio of golf course designs has landed him nearly an equal number of accolades. Palmer’s design career began in the 1960’s, and took flight in 1971 when he joined forces with the late Ed Seay. With a design philosophy of creating courses that challenge, but do not overwhelm, are flexible enough for serious and skillful competition, yet provide a fun and pleasant experience for all golfers - how could he fail?

Player Course

Gary Player is a legend in his own time. Considered by many to be one of the most successful international golfers of all time, Player has achieved the kind of worldwide acclaim reserved for only a handful of sporting greats. He is renowned as much for his dedication to the principles of excellence as he is for his golfing accomplishments. He is recognized worldwide as an uncompromising perfectionist who settles for nothing but the best. His impeccable set of values and insistence on quality have earned him admiration the world over.

Tournament Course

Robert von Hagge learned the trade from his mentor, the legendary Dick Wilson, whom he served an apprenticeship under beginning in 1955. During his six plus decades as a master golf course designer, von Hagge created some of the world’s most outstanding and award-winning courses, and has been responsible for the design, redesign, or partial design of more than 250 courses in the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and 16 foreign countries.
